Katie Spira

FNP, MSN, (PMHNP, DNP Candidate 2024)

Katie Spira (she/her) is a 3rd year psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student finishing her doctoral degree through Oregon Health & Science University (candidate 6/2024).  She has been with Sunstone since the fall of 2022.  Katie has a unique background as a board certified family nurse practitioner and has spent the majority of her career as a primary care provider, working with the full spectrum of family medicine.  Katie graduated from University of Colorado with her masters in nursing in 2016 and has been practicing family medicine since that time.  Prior to her work as a family nurse practitioner she worked as a nurse in a variety of settings with an emphasis on reproductive health, family planning and health promotion.

Katie has a special interest in the intersection of physical medicine and mental health.  She is an advocate for holistic treatment approaches and collaboration of care.  Katie specializes in treating adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety and ADHD and also comes to the practice with experiences in perinatal mental health and reproductive psychiatry.
