Katherine Spira

Katie (she/her) joined Sunstone after completing her Doctorate in Nursing through Oregon Health & Science University in 2024. Katie has a unique background as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and has spent the majority of her career in primary care providing the full spectrum of family medicine. Katie graduated from University of Colorado as an FNP with her Masters in Nursing in 2016. Prior to her advanced practice career she worked as a nurse in a variety of settings with an emphasis on reproductive health, family planning and health promotion.

Katie has a special interest in the integration of physical medicine and mental health.  She is an advocate for holistic treatment approaches and collaboration of care.  Katie specializes in treating adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety and ADHD and is also certified as a perinatal mental health provider with a special interest in mental wellness across the reproductive life span.
